Front end developer

Looking for a front-end developer who specializes in HTML,CSS and jQuery

Languages and tools
• HTML5
• CSS3 & LESS
• Twitter Bootstrap
• Jquery
• SVN

Must know
• How to design a theme from scratch (ie not using an existing template) from a PSD (or AI) design using the Twitter Bootstrap framework
• Comprehensive understanding of more advanced CSS. CSS over image sprites.
• Integrate a design into Wordpress
• Make sure the design is responsive using Twitter Bootstrap
• Be comfortable using jQuery to manipulate DOM elements
• Be comfortable using jQuery for post & get AJAX calls
• Be comfortable using jQuery UI
• Be comfortable using Twitter Bootstraps javascript plugins

Preferable
• Passion for designing own sites


Limited knowledge on:
• Read basic PHP for design integration
• Know how to use Photoshop or Illustrator

The test:
• Design a responsive (not fluid) 1 page of HTML using Twitter Bootstrap and jQuery.
• Use LESS to overwrite Twitter Bootstrap’s default styles – we don’t want to recognize the default colors and styles
• Add your own font face
• Use ‘Font Awesome’ for icons
