Do you know how to buy a domain, register a hosting a package, install WordPress and build a website from start to finish? If you’re looking for a fast-paced but rewarding position in Front-end WordPress website building, this position may be perfect for you.

We're a start-up advertising agency, based in the Northern Suburbs, and we’re looking to add a new member to our growing team. We need an experienced front-end WordPress developer/designer who has existing knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO).

You must be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, have good knowledge of building WordPress websites. If you can show that you're able to develop good-looking websites that are also mobile responsive, then we’d like to meet you.

Role Related Requirements:

• A minimum of two years working experience in WordPress
• Comfortable building and maintaining WordPress websites
• Must be able to install Google tracking codes into websites
• Existing knowledge on how to optimise a WordPress website for Search Engines
• Experience using Yoast SEO plugin
• You must have links to the websites that you’ve built using WordPress
• Ability to design web layouts and wireframes
• Well-versed in front-end WordPress theme customization
• Using plugins to extend a site's functionality
• Familiar with responsive design principles and implementation of responsive best practices for building mobile-friendly websites
• Must have a clear understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• Ability to research emerging technologies and identify new techniques

Extra knowledge in the below will be beneficial:

• Experience with payment gateways
• Installing and setting up WordPress
• MySQL management
• Creating a child theme
• Registering subdomains
• WordPress website migration across domains
• Experience working with a hosting company
• Resizing artwork for web
