Professional Functional GP Consultant needed to join a large Corporate based in Johannesburg North. You will be required to implement, maintain and enhance the functionality of the GP, AX and CRM systems, integration and applications of clients.
 
Required Skills and Experience

• BSc Computer Science or relevant IT related Degree
• Certified MBS Master
• At least 5 years consulting experience relevant to the functional area
• Fluent in MBS implementation methodologies
• Exposure to a minimum of 8 different projects in various industry sectors
• Microsoft Dynamics GP experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX
• 2 years project management experience
• Financial systems knowledge a plus
• Experience in configuring financial applications
• Report writing experience

 
Responsibilities include

• Ensure all projects are delivered on time
• Attend engagement meetings with customers
• Technical and Solution designs
• Implement new systems
• Ensure all systems delivered will have technical and training documentation
• Prepare and contribute to process design, testing scenario and end user documentation
• Pre-sales including initial client engagements, preparation and demo deliveries
• Preparation and delivery of proposal and input to tenders
• Ensure that team members have appropriate skills and tools to perform required tasks
• Conduct training
• Keep project plans up to date for all projects responsible for
• Attend supplier technology and business conferences   
• Provide technical consultancy for internal and external client-based events, such as product demonstrations, setup, specialized client prototypes, etc.
• Identify and become knowledgeable of the key vendors in all areas relating to ERP content
• Provide pre-implementation support for customers by way of educating them about various ERP content vendors
• Attend support meetings with the customer support manager to provide input and guidance
• Work alone to evaluate, isolate and solve problems at the customer
