KEY ROLE
The main responsibility of this position will be to ensure effective employee benefit (EB) Funds administration. The incumbent will be required to manage employee benefit funds and will work closely with the current Funds Administrator who is due to retire.
Areas of responsibilities for this position will include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Council fund returns administration
• Provident Fund administration
• Death and Disability benefit funds administration
• Medical scheme fund administration
• Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund administration
• Home and Emergency, Trauma, Disaster and Educational Funds Loan administration
• Beneficiary Trust Investments administration
• Involvement and support with other management functionalities as required
• Accumulation and preparation of all documents relating to statutory requirements.
• Management of 25-30 administration staff
• Other administration duties
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Matriculated with Degree (BCom-Financial or similar degree)
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on employee benefits administration experience, not only Provident/Pension funds
• Computer literate: MS Office, in-house computer systems
• Excellent command of the English language and a fair command of the Afrikaans language (verbal and written)

• Natural administration ability - organised, structured and methodical with good time management
• Professionalism and confidentiality is a requirement
• The incumbent must have the ability to work independently and to control, supervise, direct and coach a large team of employees
• The incumbent must be able to absorb pressure well, work according to deadlines, and not be afraid of taking the lead and getting things done
• The incumbent must be a strong, independent individual with at least 5 years hands-on employee benefit fund accounting experience.
• Own transport and drivers licence is a necessity.
• The incumbent must be unimpeachable with no criminal record.
