ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Accounting / Treasury degree or diploma

EXPERIENCE:
• At least five years' experience a Treasury / Guarantee environment
• Financial Accounting background an advantage
Job Specification...
To facilitate the application and control of guarantees issued on behalf of the Group and assist with Treasury compliance.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)

Facilitate Guarantee application process
• Ensure policy and procedure for the guarantee application process is updated and circulated to operational groups
• Review guarantee requests from operational groups to ensure compliance to policy
• Process application requests to relevant institute in accordance to policy, ensuring accuracy and mitigating potential risk elements
• Submit the duly authorised guarantee application to institute
• Co-ordinate the collection, submission and circulation of original guarantee document
• Identify and process the cancellation and renewal of guarantees

Maintain guarantee records
• Update the Guarantee list daily
• Retain copies of correspondence with operational groups and institutes
• Retain copies of guarantees
• Create and maintain a system to identify guarantees that must be cancelled or renewed
• Update and submit monthly summary of guarantees, facility utilization and charges to management

Administer and monitor guarantee charges
• Update guarantee records with commission and other related charges
• Reconcile guarantee invoices to guarantee list and facilitate payment
• Calculated weighted average cost quarterly in arrears
• Co-ordinate cross charge of guarantee costs to operational groups
• Reconcile cross charges to operational groups and charges from the institute to the relevant general ledger account on a monthly basis

Administration and compliance relating to Revolving Credit facilities, Asset Based Financing and General Banking Facilities
• Ensure governance in respect of resolutions and certificates are submitted and maintained timeously
• Maintain and update bank signatory mandates
• Maintain and update bank dealing mandates
• Maintain and update bank and insurance facility mandates
• Reviewing and updating legal banking contracts to execution form
• Liaise with banks for day to day compliance requirements

Internal Controls
• Coordinate and implement Treasury policy and procedures
• Ensure segregation of duties relating to Group banking requirements
• Facilitate implementation of internal audit recommendations

Treasury
• Facilitate submission Bank Statements to Treasury
• Maintain SARB submissions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Basic knowledge and understanding of legal contracts
• Intermediate / Advanced Excel
• Must have a working knowledge of banking mandates and KYC requirements
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
