Searching for a Sales General Manager (Home Loans) who will be responsible for leading Home Loans in optimising Internal & External business opportunities, cost efficiencies and profitability in alignment with Home Loans strategy.
You will have:
• NQF Level: NQF Level 6: B Degree. Essentially: Relevant B Degree in Commerce or equivalent required. Preferably: MBA/MBL would be advantageous.
• Essential experience: Senior management experience in a commercial environment is required.
• Minimum 5 years Retail banking experience with minimum 2 years Home Loans experience.
• CEA diploma is an advantage
• Knowledge and skills: Corporate identity and business strategy, Legislation and compliance, Banking code and conduct, HR Policies and procedures, Cost control/OPEX, Customers and value propositions, Product knowledge, Sales and Project management.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Translating the strategy into business change opportunities - Including producing concepts, defining the business case for change and manage the portfolio to ensure successful delivery and benefits realisation.
• EFFECTIVELY MANAGING AND INFLUENCING THE STRATEGIC DIRECTION ITO SALES WITHIN HOME LOANS:
? Assist in setting the necessary strategic direction for Home Loans Internal & External Sales and translate these into business and operational goals.
? Monitor the competitive environment and identify possible risks in order to create a competitive advantage.
? Proactive efforts to stay abreast of changes and aligning operations, systems and procedures to absorb the impact of changes.
? Set goals, targets and BSC objectives based on the translation of Home Loans strategy.
? Influence and drive optimal Sales delivery processes and technology to enable frontline sales to ensure maximum customer focus and superior customer experience.
? Identify and initiate innovative concepts, CVP's development etc, to expand the propositions and to remain competitive with the market.
• TO SET AND ENSURE PROFITABILITY TARGETS ARE ROBUST AND ACHIEVED:
Understand landscape of geospatial matrix: Emerging Developments and directing and influencing share of business accordingly.
? Set business growth targets for Internal Sales teams, contracting with Internal Sales channels and ensure market penetration ito market share, ROE/ROA.
? Ensure Home Loans achieves profitable loans, i.e Economic Profit through this channel and maximising return for cost invested.
? Ensure the creation of shareholder wealth by attainment of targets and objectives as contracted.
? Initiate and manage the effective delivery of strategic Campaigns to further enhance market penetration and keep Home Loans top of mind as the Leader of Mortgage Solutions.
? Manage and drive Internal Sales support function activities and operations and ensure best practice in the leveraging of resources.
• BUILD SOUND BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS TO ENHANCE HOME LOANS BUSINESS.
? Embody and represent the Home Loans entity and identity both internally and externally.
? Create a network of alliances and business partners to optimise the operation of the value chain.
? Identify and create opportunities and gap closing to ensure Home Loans is positioned as the leader of Mortgage solution with all stakeholders.
Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
