A successful candidate will need to:

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve standards in this 27 bedded General Surgical Unit
• Gain optimal staff usage and ensure that sufficient staff is on duty at all times in the Surgical Unit
• Ensure a cost-effective nursing operation
• Manage and train staff
• Manager of stock, equipment,
• Ensure effective Doctor, staff and patient relationships
• Comply with company policies, procedures and internal controls.

Requirements for the position include:

• Registration with SANC
• Previous Nursing experience in a General Surgical and/or Surgical environment essential
• Solid Shift Leading experience
• Qualification in Nursing Administration would be advantageous
• Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills.
