JOB DESCRIPTION: Geotechnical Plant/Asset manager based at Jet Park.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Managing of plant operations and maintenance.
• Managing of spares, consumables stores and ground engaging tools.
• Establish plant policies and procedures and ensure that these policies and procedures are managed and adhered to.
• Drive financial optimisation and efficiency in regards to geotechnical plant holding.
• Monthly financial reporting including: Cost, Revenue, Budget over/under, utilisation and depreciation.
• Client (internal sites) and supplier relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Matric or Equivalent.
• Preference will be given to those with experience and training conducted with international suppliers of geotechnical equipment. (Soilmec, Casagrande and Bauer)

EXPERIENCE:
• Proven track record.
• At minimum 10 years’ practical experience in the construction industry relating to Geotechnical work.
• At minimum 5 years’ experience managing geotechnical related plant.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Technical understanding and competence in the construction disciplines of Geotechnical trades.
• Specific geotechnical plant knowledge in the following areas.
o Hydraulics
o Electronics
o Mechanical
o Instrumentation.
• Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel is essential.
• Must be physically fit to work on site and pass site medical requirements.
• Must be willing to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays (as and when required).
