GRAB FITTER, MOOINOOI (BRITS), RNEG

QUALIFIED GRAB FITTER + CERTIFICATE GRAB DRIVING + 2 YEARS GENERAL MACHINERY EXP + 1 YEAR SHAFT SINKING EXP + 3 MONTHS GRAB DRIVER TRAINING EXP.

General duties/responsibilities:
The incumbent will safely operate and maintain their Lashing Unit and conduct and adhere to all safety inspections and statuary requirements. Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Ensure the safety of all persons in the shaft bottom
• Examining and blowing over the shaft bottom
• Map planning and daily work progress
• Conducting of emergency procedures
• Maintain good employee relations, safety and risk management and effective communication in the work place.

Experience:
• At least 2 years’ general machinery experience
• At least 1 year shaft sinking machinery fitter experience
• At least 3 months trainee Grab Driver training

Qualifications:
• Must be a qualified Grab Fitter
• Must be in possession of a Grab Driving Certificate
• All applicants must have a valid certificate of fitness
