Main Functions:

The Grab Operator primary purpose is to provide support in the yard. He/she will also have to:

• Do day-to-day inspection of the Excavator with Grab and reporting of any faults.
• General maintenance and cleaning of the Excavator with Grab.
• Movement of steel/ products around the yard.
• For loading and off-loading of various materials.
• Maintain safe working procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• A minimum Grade 12 certificate
• Valid excavator grab certificate or license
• 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to work in a physically demanding working environment
• Ability to handle pressurized work situations and environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Policies
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
