Professors Lynn Morris and Penny Moore are looking to recruit talented scientists and students to join their team at the NICD in Johannesburg. This is a well-funded group with strong international collaborations, doing cutting-edge HIV/AIDS research. Their recent papers have appeared in top scientific journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine and PLoS Pathogens. Successful applicants will be part of an innovative research program aimed at understanding antibody evolution in HIV infected people and vaccinated volunteers.

A number of projects suitable for Masters and PhD studies are available to first-class students with ambition to pursue an academic career. Applicants should have an interest in molecular and cellular immunology, virology, structural biology and/or vaccine development.

Applicants should have the required qualifications as well as excellent communication and problem solving skills, and be able to work flexible hours. Competitive salaries will be based on qualifications and experience as per the NICD/NHLS scales.
