We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious finance graduates to join our team on a 1-year contract. The contract will include rotation across the business units within the organisation. The continuation of employment into a permanent contract will be based on reaching consistent performance measures throughout the year.

The successful incumbent will be employed on a full-time basis and apply their skills and knowledge to add value to the organisation through a range of tasks.

The Graduate will be based in Cape Town and will report to the Chief Investment Officer.

Main Responsibilities:

• Apply academic learning to the workplace environment
• Participate in project teams to achieve work outcomes
• Provide reports, analysis and research on relevant issues as directed
• Undertake professional and personal development to complement on-the-job learning
• Carry out ad hoc duties as part of the investment team relating to the achievement of Arise’s mandate

Selection Criteria:

• A relevant industry degree which was completed within the last 12 months. This could include BCom Honours in Business Science, Development Finance, Accounting, BCom Business (and other associated faculties)
• Well-developed analytical and research skills
• Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as an effective team member
• A commitment to professional learning and staff development
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential
• Ability to plan and prioritise effectively
• Attention to detail

Remuneration:

Market related stipend will be paid for the duration of the contract.
