Graphic Designer – Digital Media and Broadcasting

Location: Randburg, JHB
Salary: R25k per month

Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ graphic design experience
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Image editing software such as Photoshop
Website and broadcast design
Be able to create a CI for shows
Knowledge of HTML/CSS, web technologies and their strengths/limitations
Design experience for broadcast an advantage
Computer literacy a must
Experience with AppleMac required
Own transport an advantage
Fluent in English
Needs to be familiar with South African and International mainstream television
Must have technical knowledge of all digital and social platforms
Training and experience in online media required, previous experience working in an agency environment is an advantage
Must understand urgency and meet extremely tight deadlines
The position advertised is for a mid-level candidate on renewable project-based contract
Candidates must be prepared to work flexible hours, after 17:00 and weekends
Own transport an advantage
Must have a grasp of cross-platform digital trends and technology

Duties:
Design/creation of imaging for multimedia platforms or websites (such as billboards), social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, other), image resizing and design.
Creating digital brand identities for online platforms
Ensure quality of design deliverables
Presentation of stats, data or research (such as user journey experiences, or data relevance)
Creation of presentation templates or designs
New trends in online design, data presentation, multi-media production
Creating graphic billboards or images for website, social media and online platforms
