A leading simulation and training solutions provider in the aerospace, defence, maritime, logistics and rail sectors, require the services of a Graphic Designer. Specialising in the design, development and commissioning of e-learning and simulators for local and overseas clients, we are in need of a Graphic Designer who is committed to excellence, creativity, flexibility, and possess team spirit.

As a Graphic Designer, you will coordinate with a team of engineers and project professionals to employ a wide range of skills and software tools in support of the visual and technical designs to assist in conceptualising and realising the final e-learning and simulator products.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a passionate individual to develop a wide range of 2D and 3D graphic content for real-time simulation and training applications, as well as help to define and support the production pipeline.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the creation and publication of marketing material for various advertising platforms, including: weekly brochures, banners, newspaper advertisements, web-friendly graphics, Facebook advertisements, and various other channels. This will be done in conjunction with other team members;
• Design and develop terrains using specialised terrain building tools for land, water and air-based simulations;
• Develop 2D media for e-learning solutions - Shows, Interactive Explorations and Assessments;
• Develop 3D low polygon models, customise purchased models, rig the models, animate the models for the simulation system;
• Responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact in collaboration with the Operations Director;
• Co-ordinate with the Operations Director on current tasks;
• Organises work flow and maintain database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used in creation of published materials;
• Desire and have the ability to work creatively in a team-orientated environment;
• Must possess excellent communication and time management skills;
• Work independently when required;
• Continuously learn and improve skills;
• Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to the highest standard;
• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements:
• Relevant BA degree or equivalent qualification for the position.
• Minimum of Three years’ experience.
• Strong working knowledge of printing, publishing and/or graphics art procedures and related computer software.
• Strong graphic, typography, and print design skills.
• Photography, writing, video capturing and editing skills.
• Flexibility and able to work with quick turnaround times.
• Advanced knowledge of:
o Adobe Photoshop
o Adobe Illustrator
o Adobe InDesign
o Flash
o After Effects
o Premier Pro
o Media Encoder
o Acrobat
o 3D Studio Max
• Exposure to the following software will be beneficial:
o Sharepoint
o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Proficient in English.
• Own reliable transport.
• A strong portfolio that showcases quality print and digital work.
