BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE: Manage projects from start to finish, including briefing, designing, and delivery(print and electronic).
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:
Qualification: 3 year degree or diploma in Graphic & Web design
Experience : MAC Literate, proficient in Adobe Creative suite package (CS5) which includes: (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop , Dreamweaver Basics)
Indesign – for layout and design in most projects
Photoshop –for elements in most projects. Photo retouching / manipulation
Illustrator – for design, vector drawings, digital drawings
Knowledge: Some knowledge of print process and production.
Working knowledge of web design and basic HTML. Ability to edit existing code of HTML newsletters and websites.
Skills: Administration skills( Word, Excel, Powerpoint,etc), ,photography advantageous. Designing and coding HTML newsletters - mail Chimp, MailBlaze and Mylist Manager advantageous
Attributes: ability to multitask, cope under pressure, meet deadlines and must be methodical and fast. Need to be able to follow instruction and prioritise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:
1. Web:
• Updating existing sites (content, newsletters, listings, etc)
• General site maintenance and management
• Ensuring that sites are functional and operational
2. Graphic and Desktop publishing:
• Brochures, business cards, editorial advertising, Flyers, Posters, logos, Letterheads, Presentations(powerpoint), photo editing, menus
• Electronic artwork (E-Flyers/mailers- special, invites, etc)
START DATE: ASAP
WORKING HOURS: Normal working hours are a 45 hour week. However at his stage, you are required to work Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00 with a 45 minute meal break. We reserve the right to increase your working hours to the maximum which may be on Saturdays from 08h00 to 13h00 should your work fall behind, or as management see fit for operational reasons.
