Group Finance Manager
Sandton

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join this high-growth Group of Companies. The successful incumbent will be responsible for extensive analytical management reporting on the financial activities and projections of the Group. This position will report to the Group Chief Financial Officer and will form part of the Exco leadership team.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring appropriate financial planning and reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, tax management, governance and staff management.
Requirements & Skills:
• Registered CA with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants with a minimum of 3 years post articles experience at a Senior Management level.
• Solid knowledge of King 111 Report, Company’s Act, Income Tax Act and IFRS.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills essential.
• Strong people management skills and interactive management style.
• Manage the finance team’s deliverables and report accordingly.
• Critical thinking ability.
• Good stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail orientated.
• Ability to function in highly effective results-driven environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Financial Reporting & Annual Audit Process
• Improving of financial reporting process.
• Compile Group Management Accounts for submission to Exco.
• Ensuring that complex financial and operational information is communicated to stakeholders, including Divisional Exco team, Group Exco, Board and external stakeholders.
• Provide Financial Reports to Department Heads to enable them to manage and adjust accordingly.
• Co-ordinates and complete the Company’s annual external audit within deadlines.
• Prepares AFS.
• Co-ordinate internal divisional audits with Internal Audit Lead.

Budgets, Forecasting and Financial Analysis
• Responsible for analysis, preparation and management of Annual Group Budgets.
• Setting and managing forecasting process and give appropriate input to management’s forecasting objectives.
• Improve the flexibility of the forecast models and research and introduce simpler and more efficient models where possible
• Continuous analysis to improve under-performing areas to maximise working capital for business growth.
• Proactively performs variance analysis and reasonability tests.

Capital and Cash management
• Drive working capital management improvements
• Manage the accurate reporting and forecasting of cash and ensure efficient use of cash resources.
• Manage the banking facilities and relationships with stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance on facilities, covenants and special requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve the cash flow.

Taxation
• Ensure tax compliance related to VAT, PAYE.
• Preparation of accurate tax returns and submission within required timeframes.
• Ensure appropriate tax planning and management of tax risk.
• Ensure that appropriate reconciliations are prepared and filed.

Management
• As Group Financial Manager provide leadership, direction and guidance to Departmental Heads in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
• Manages the performance of the finance team within the division.
• Maximise key staff engagement by ensuring personal development plans are in place, and develop career growth plans
