Group Marketing Manager - Midrand


Position: Group Marketing Manager
Responsible For: The Marketing Department
Budget Responsibilities: Managing the marketing and communication fund, as contributed by
the franchisees.
Location: Midrand
Salary: R50 000.00 – R80 000per month
Age Group: 35 – 40 years

Non – Negotiable exp:
o Digital Marketing : (5years exp and more)
o Financial and or Franchising Industry Experience (5years exp and more)
o Sales Lead Generation Experience (5years exp and more)
o Data mining / ability to analyse existing data to spot sales trends and develop effective marketing strategies (5years exp and more)
o Online CRM (5years exp and more)

Fulfil the requirements of all management reporting
? A bachelor’s degree, or higher, in marketing or related field
? Any other formal marketing qualification and/or certificates

? 10 to 15 years in a relevant marketing role

Experience working in:
? A corporate marketing environment
? A retail sales environment
? A customer services industry
? The financial services and/or retail banking industry
? A business-2- business marketing environment
? The advertising and communications industry

? Managing a marketing department/division
? Managing agency and other strategic partners
? Managing customer loyalty programmes

Skills, capabilities, expertise:
? Developing and implementing marketing strategy
? Working with customer databases
? Analysis and interpretation of customer data
? Digital and social marketing expertise
? A good knowledge of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI)
? Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
? Budgeting skills and the capability of operating the department within an approved

Management of the marketing function
? Lead, manage, coordinate and control the activities of the marketing department
? Drive collaboration and integration with all other support departments within the Group
? Measure and report on all Marketing spend in respect on feet / transactions/ enquiries
? Provide training, development and supervision to guide, motivate and retain marketing staff
? Conduct staff performance appraisals in accordance with company policies and procedures
? Develop the annual marketing and communication budget
? Manage and control the implementation of the annual marketing and communication budget
? Manage the on-going performance and relationships with all key agency partners including: Research,
? Advertising, Public Relations, Digital and Social,
? Manage the financial stewardship of agency accounts
? Manage the relationship between marketing department and the franchisees
? Manage on-going relationships with strategic alliance partners
? Identify and analyse potential alliance partnerships
? Motivate and increase local area marketing activities

Marketing strategy
? Conduct and analyse market research to understand consumer behaviour and identify new product opportunities
? Maintain and manage the implementation of the market segmentation analysis across all communication disciplines
? Review and analyse market conditions, consumer data and competitor activity on a regular basis
? Develop a holistic marketing strategy in collaboration with the Operations Department and franchisees
? Review and update the marketing strategy on a regular basis
? Conduct on-going strategic planning for product lines

Marketing communication
? Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all communication to generate leads and attract new franchisee prospects
? Create and implement a communications strategy that Introduces / entices new people into our brand
? Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all external communication including: ATL advertising, BTL advertising, Online advertising, Digital and Social Media content and consumer PR
? Ensure the on-going maintenance and content management of all website activity including the Web Shop
? Ensure the quality of all marketing and communication material and collateral
? Ensure the timeous distribution of all marketing and communication material and collateral
? Approve all media and channel strategies and plans
? Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all internal communication including: marketing collateral, events, activations and conferences
? Manage and coordinate the effective dissemination of all Group and franchisee messaging and communication

General responsibilities
? Understand and uphold the company’s image and values
? Ensure all employees and franchisees are informed and educated on the corporate and brand image, positioning and values
? Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures in the fulfilment of the marketing role
? Develop and ensure adherence to approved Corporate Identity guidelines internally and throughout the franchise network
? Have a sound working knowledge of:
? The franchise model
? All Companies products
? The franchise agreement as it relates to marketing contributions
? The Point of Sale System
? Compliance issues
? All communications channels (e.g. SMS to ATT)
