A company based in the Durban area is looking for a Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Schematic design
• PCB layout design
• Firmware design would be advantageous
• Change control processes in a design and production environment
• Design for ROHS
• Advanced knowledge of electronic and software development best practices
• Experience with Smart Metering & Smart Grid technologies would be advantageous

Qualifications and Experience:
• 10 years electronic engineering experience
• Experience in the metering industry would be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of specifications related to the metering industry would be advantageous
• Electronic analogue and digital hardware design
• EMC / EMI principles
• Design for manufacture
• IT Related Degree
