Head Chef – Corporate Catering Woodstock Cape Town

Our Client in Corporate Catering is looking for a passionate Head Chef to oversee a team of 8 in the Kitchen –
This is a Monday to Friday position, no weekends.

Salary – Negotiable to experience

Min Requirements
• Matric
• Hospitality / Chef Diploma - ADDED ADVANTAGE but not a must
• Exposure to menu engineering and food costing
• Management Experience (3 years)
• Corporate Catering Experience (3 years)
• Knowledge and understanding of cooking techniques

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Food and Function preparation – Chef
• Knowledge of operational standards and procedures of a kitchen including preparation.
• Manage team performance
• Manage customer relationship.
• To provide an efficient and cost effective food service to the establishment
• Financial Feasibility of menus
• Control and manage stock
• Control and manage Food Cost
• Control and manage assets
• Control and Manage Portion specification
• Determine and implement corrective / proactive action
• Support the implementation of the Business Plan
• Good staff relations to maintain a comfortable and productive working environment for all concerned.
• An independent thinker to manage creatively and competently
• Function Catering
