World Class 5* Game Lodge Sabi Sands - Mpumalanga.

Chef's qualification with 5 years experience in 5* Boutique Hotels & 5* Game Lodges required.

Experience in the 5* hospitality field

Management of the kitchen and scullery departments

Maintain a distinctive, high quality Pan-African style of cuisine with seasonal, local ingredients

Monitor standards and carry out training as required

Financial, statistical and monthly reporting

Monitor staff overtime and casual costs

Work with the team and coach, train and support performance

Experienced in kitchen service and staff management

Driver’s License essential

Passion for food and cooking

An eye for detail and presentation

An understanding of 5 Star cuisine

Computer literate

Great planning and organizational skills

Experience of stock control and food portioning

Hands on approach

Sensitive to cultural issues/ patient with team members

Ability to provide strong and supportive leadership to kitchen & scullery team

Excellent social and interpersonal skills

Ensure effective menu planning

Confidence in explaining dinner menu in front of guests

Sense of ownership and pride for the guest experience

Flexible attitude and willing to take on tasks as necessary

Able to interact with guests and behave appropriately

Ability to plan and organize

Salary  – highly negotiable
