Key Roles & Responsibilities

Establishment and Managing of Business Partnership with the Heads of Wholesale Bank - Africa and Provide Leadership to the WB Finance teams on the ground and at country level to function as independent and proactive business partners.
To provide leadership, guidance and support the WB Banking Finance teams on the ground and across 13 countries in Africa to operate as independent business partners supporting the day to day activities (MIS, Controls, Budgets, Forecasts, Cost Mgmt, etc) for WB Business and for all Group reporting related matters
Proactive and forward looking strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, advanced analysis of financial data and product/segment profitability.
Assess risk and opportunities for the business across the region, impacting the Wholesale Banking business.
Assist the regional head in compiling the financial budget and forecast for Africa Wholesale Banking and ensure they are in line with the strategic direction of the business.
Management of business P&L & Control of financial process (costs/expense recognition and cost/benefit analysis).
Analyses business performance against plan and budget highlighting analysis and variance on a monthly basis
Sets and monitors performance measures (financial and non financial e.g. cost income ratios, product profitability, deals in pipeline, competitive analysis, etc)

Job Description
Contributes to the right balance of growth, profitability and control of the business by:
Providing Leadership to the WB Finance community across Africa, up and managing talent across WB Finance.
To create a strong controls environment across Africa WB Finance.
Providing Senior management with frequent, complete, accurate, timely and valid information as to the performance of the Wholesale Banking business on a regular basis
