Responsible for the development and execution of group procurement operations strategy focusing on people, process and systems. Drives
transformation of procurement operations through a combination of process improvements, technology enablement and continuous development of
value-added services. Create and operationalise the procurement operations elements of the Centre of Excellence (COE) to support the entire
Group, its existing business units and on board new companies/ subsidiaries/ business units from time to time. Drives continuous
improvement and operational excellence to drive group economic efficiencies while owning the contract management. Strong focus on delivery
is critical as the incumbent will be leading cross-functional teams, outsourced providers, as well as supporting the Group and its
subsidiaries. The incumbent is an expert problem solver with relevant data and facts while not being afraid to make sound business
assumptions. Owns relationship with the external business process outsourcing provider who provides middle and back end operational
services

QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering or Supply Chain or Business/ Commerce degree (NQF level 7) required. MBA and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience and success in the delivery of business process optimisation initiatives in large corporates. 7 years of transformational programme
and project management, of which 2 - 3 years of Operations management experience and 2 - 3 years of Procurement experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
An understanding of the Preferential Procurement Framework Act, NDP, NIPC, ICT sector guides and B-BBEE codes.
Able to work through ambiguities by using data and facts, while making sound business assumptions to remove dependencies.
Must have a track record of building and managing long term internal and external business relationships.
A skilled communicator who can articulate Procurement vision in a clear and compelling way that immediately generates excitement,
enthusiasm and a commitment to team members, peers and external partners.
