Our Client a gaint in the mining industry is currently looking for a BEE - Head of Department Financial Manager. The Mine is currently exploiting a disseminated nickel, copper and platinum group metal deposit associated with a satellite intrusion of the Bushveld Igneous Complex.

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT TO THE BUSINESS MANAGER AND THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
? Assist in the development of strategy for the Mine (Finance, IT and Supply Chain), monitor the implementation of strategies and ensure compliance.
? Develop business plan and present to Steercom and JV boards, authorize and take accountability for the Mines business plan process.
? Sign-off Financial, IT and Supply Chain policies and procedures.
? Implement a budget (Operational, Capital, etc) and manage costs within the budget, report on a monthly and quarterly analysis of budget deviations to Steering Committee.
? Develop the financial inputs into the Mine’s business plan and financial forecast in terms of financial year(s).
? Implement applicable systems to address the Mine’s needs and ensure best practice in terms of IT security and data protection.
? Oversee effective risk management by ensuring segregation of duty to eliminate fraudulent practices, identifying and maintaining significant financial risks in a dynamic environment, develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and provide input into CURA.
? Responsible to address all internal and external audit findings, ensure effective internal and external financial reporting
? Ensure local and international compliance to all relevant statutory regulations, IFRS and corporate governance.
? Responsible for marketing strategy (including specifications of contract terms), coordinate marketing activities, eek marketing opportunities to enhance the overall financial performance of the Mine
? Manage team’s performance and ensure training and development of employees
? Manage the Safety, Health, Risk, Environmental and Quality of the Mine to ensure compliance with legal requirements and business plans.

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:
? CA (SA) or Industry related Qualification relevant to the role NQF 7
? 8 to 10 Years Experience Including Articles
? Computer Literacy

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS OR OPTIONAL:
? National Honours Degree, MDP, MBA
