Our client in Stellenbosch has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic and self-driven Horticultural Maintenance Manager to join their ever growing business.

Requirements

Vision and style to successfully take over projects from implementation teams and grow landscapes to full potential

Great communication skills at all levels, fluent in English and Afrikaans (any additional languages are a bonus)

Ability to manage a team for large variety of projects and client requirements

Willingness to learn and educate self about new techniques, tools and systems

Be hands-on, able to multi-task, organised and able to delegate

Have excellent landscaping, irrigation and maintenance experience

Have a horticultural background with a good knowledge of plants

Driver’s licence

Sober and responsible habits

 

Key Duties

Strategically plan and execute long-term horticultural and environmental rehabilitation schedules for high-end residential gardens and large scale landscapes

Evaluate site conditions and plan best maintenance accordingly 

Monitoring of plants and planting and subsequent adjustment of conditions for optimal growth (including, but not limited to, management of correct pruning, fertilising, water and sunlight requirements etc.)

Maintenance of all associated landscape elements (including, but not limited to hard surfaces and irrigation systems etc.)

Communication and planning of maintenance with clients and associated administration

Management of maintenance team and associated administration and scheduling

 

SALARY: Depending on experience
