Hospitality Manager required by leading Cafe Deli and Patisserie in Claremont.

We are looking for an energetic, vibrant and inspirational individual responsible for all operations of our flagship store, including leading and directing the team in both the front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH). This position incorporates several aspects from food service to retail.
• Strict adherence and leadership regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) such as staffing plans, human resource code of ethics, inventory systems, food safety programs, overall service plan and customer service strategy
• Our customer is KING/QUEEN – highest quality service to be delivered to ALL our customers
• Implement, maintain and uphold operational guidelines at all levels of BOH and FOH that represent the Company's brand and operating philosophy to ensure the consistent delivery of our quality customer service standards
• Manage a team of 25 or more
• Supervise all orders and daily deliveries and also keep costs within set margins from approved vendors
• Handle scheduling of hours and payroll management
• Recruit, train and review performance of BOH and FOH staff
• Work with central production facility to establish and meet daily/weekly pars
• Stock management
• Breakages and theft of store assets to be controlled and strictly managed
• Management of the retail environment.
• Increase sales of the retail environment
• Daily quality checks of products
• Daily stock counts of retail products
• Weekly stock counts of all store assets, food, and retail items.

Skills and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in either business or hospitality management
• 5+ years of food and beverage management experience in a high-end restaurant, café or other relevant hospitality or high-end retail setting
• Diverse experience working in the restaurant and hospitality industry and the ability to make recommendations regarding operational best practices and quality control
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Conflict resolution skills
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• A high degree of organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Micros POS – min 4 years’ experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English, second language an advantage
• A hard working perfectionist who does not rest until the job is done
