HOTEL RESERVATIONIST

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this well-established functions & conferencing hotel in the beautiful Heldervue area.

SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE
• To ensure that the highest standard of performance and service is achieved when reserving accommodation and additional services for NH
The Lord Charles
• To ensure the accuracy of all reservations to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• To process all reservations enquiries timeously and efficiently.
• Responsible to operate within the policies and procedures as known and as set out in the standard operating procedures manual.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
• To maximize occupancy and room rates, whilst maintaining the highest standard of performance and service.
• To be fully familiar with the short and long term availability of the hotel.
• To up sell wherever possible.
• To ensure that all telephone enquiries are handled politely and professionally and that telephone etiquette and voice tone is appropriate.
• Ensure that all emailed reservation enquiries are professionally responded to within 4 - 6 hours.
• Ensure that all details for the following day’s arrivals are accurate and complete and are timeously handed to Front Office.
• All filing to be efficiently and timeously completed including Reservations Requests, Rates, Deposits and Payments due etc.
• Document and submit any leads to the Sales Team to be actioned and captured on the database.
• Ensure that the Front Office team is kept updated on any changes to same day reservations or tomorrow’s arrivals.
• Ensure the constant flow of information through all areas.
