Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a strong Housekeeping Manager for a 5* Establishment situated in the beautiful North Eastern Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga. Key aspects for this position are:Manage the members of the housekeeping department to ensure the cleanliness, aesthetic appeal and maintenance of the guest suites and public areasEnsure the smooth running of the lodges laundryEffectively control procurement and stock within the department and the ability to manage department budgets. In depth the Housekeeping Manager ensures that the housekeeping supervisors and housekeepers are familiar with the SOP’a in terms of cleaning of guest suites, public areas and laundry process. He/she must ensure that the housekeeping staff are fully equipped to attain these standards through the provision of training and procurement of any materials or equipment that are required, within budget parameters. There must be effective communication with lodge management in terms of all guest requirements and with lodge management and the maintenance department in terms of any maintenance issues, which should then be followed up and confirmed as complete. To be considered for this role you need to have experience and knowledge of world-class housekeeping standards and procedures and be passionate to ensure these are achieved and built upon. Excellent admin skills are a must with a focus on procurement and stock control, experience on MS Word and Excel a must. Team leadership skills are a must, you must be able to manage, motivate and work effectively with your staff. Finally you will need to be flexible, have attention to detail and be able to work until the job is complete. It is of upmost importance that the lodge is presented to its highest standards and that these are maintained at all times. This is a single live in position, you need to have realistic expectations of working and living in the bush, this company offers excellent staff facilities and works on a 6 weeks on 2 weeks off. Salary offered between R7,500 – R10,000 CTC to the suitable candidate.
