This Contractor involved with the solar panel in Kathu in the Northern Cape Province, is recruiting the following candidate for a contract period:

HR/IR OFFICER
KATHU AREA

Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 Certificate with completed or studying towards an HR Diploma with preference to Diploma in Labour Relations and minimum of 3 years’ experience as a
Human Resources / Industrial Relations Officer
- Tried and tested dispute resolution skills
- Have a clear and detailed understanding of both the metal industries Main Agreement the Sectorial Determination for Civil Construction and a good and full understanding of all
the applicable labour legislation
- Negotiation skills a pre-requisite specifically experience in dealing with Trade Unions and organised labour
- Extensive knowledge of Basic Conditions and Labour Relations Act interpretation and compliance
- Computer literacy (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous, detailed, well-organized and able to work independently
- Good interpersonal skills and must be sensitive towards the communities

Responsibilities will include:
- Advice is provided to managers with regards to IR, labour law, negotiation skills, disciplinary, grievance and conflict resolution processes
- All IR related issues are resolved timeously
- All IR meetings are attended and feedback is provided to all relevant stakeholders
- IR reports are compiled and distributed timeously.
- Audits are performed accordingly
- Effective recruitment, selection and retention in line with Sub-contractor Manpower plans
- Effective coordination of site mobilization in line with manpower plan
- Ensure compliance with HSE, develop training matrix
- Ensure all resources meet set criteria and are suitably qualified
- Coordinate and align the activities of Labour service providers
- HR policies, procedures and systems are implemented and aligned with Project, client requirements and best practices
- Quality and effective employee training and development
- Employment Equity Plans are complied with
- HR reports compiled
- Time management
- Information and communication
- IR issues relating to labour, discipline and industrial action are managed and risks are identified and resolved in accordance with the required channels, processes, procedures
and standards
- Policies are aligned to the changing Labour Law legislation
