Our client in is recruiting for a HSE Manager, who will be responsible for managing the health, safety, environment and risk function of the site in accordance with company standards.
Developing and promoting principles and a culture that provides the necessary base for adherence to National and International HSE standards and legislation by mentoring and training the workforce to ensure the Company is able to conform to the accepted norms.
For each element of Health, Safety, Environment and Risk the incumbent shall identify and appraise the circumstance of any non-conformance, then fashion standards and procedures necessary to ensure conformance, and then manage and implement the necessary change process.
Hold a diploma or degree in a technical discipline, supported by SAMTRAC qualification or a 3 year Safety/Risk Management diploma;
Have a working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 systems.
Have at least 5 years relevant industrial experience in an “HSE” or related field .
Be analytical, have good communication skills as well as problem solving and decision making skills;
Have good administrative and supervisory skills; as well as report writing ability
