An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitable qualified Human Capital Management Consultant to oversee the functioning of the Human Capital Support Services department, based in Durban.

Purpose of the job:

To provide comprehensive Human Resources services to business and relevant stakeholders to support the achievement of organisational objectives.

Experiential and Educational requirements:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Sound understanding of human resources legislation
  • 1 Years experience in dealing with bargaining councils (Advantage)
  • 5-8 Years HR generalist experience
  • Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office)

 Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination and implementation of the recruitment and selection policy and process
  • Co-ordination and timeous submission of various reports to support the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Research and implement HR best practices
  • Facilitation and implementation of the Employment Equity strategy
  • Effective tracking and managing of the Employee Value proposition (EVP) for the business
  • Establish and maintain a recruitment and selection process that is bench marked against best practice
  • Oversee assessment and development centre’s to ensure value added service
  • Manage staff database
  • Develop competency and training development plans per employee
  • Manage all learning and development initiatives in The Company to ensure effective tracking and monitoring thereof
  • Oversee career management within The Company
  • Develop a reward and recognition strategy to ensure highly skilled and fulfilled employees
  • Oversee cost management for area of responsibility and ensure effective tracking and monitor at all times
  • Implementation of various company wide objectives
  • Oversee and support all employee relations matters
  • Advise and support management and employees with various HR related matters
