HR ADMINISTRATOR – JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Transport Company seeking the suitable candidate, is a well-established fast-growing group based in the East Rand area of Gauteng but is a nationwide long-distance transporter, with an equal opportunity policy.
The ideal candidate needs to be energetic, enthusiastic and proactive in their work manner. The Role will require extensive interaction with Drivers, workshop employees and Managers. The Role will require a suitable candidate that is professional on all levels in order to meet the needs of the business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Grade 12
- In-depth knowledge of the operating and legislation requirements of the transport and logistics industry.
- Excellent communication skills in English/Afrikaans (speaking, reading and writing).
- Knowledge of TETA accredited training requirements, would be an advantage.
- Assessor & Moderator certificate and registration with TETA would be advantageous.
- Must have working knowledge/experience
- Own transport.

Key responsibilities:
- Capturing and recording weekly schedules of driver’s attendance;
- Reviewing drivers leave planning and cycles;
- Tracking, controlling and managing time and attendance of employees;
- Drafting, controlling and issuing of employment contracts of fixed term and permanent employees;
- Administrating all admin functions work for payroll input;
- Maintain employee files and leave records;
- Maintaining manual files;
- Ensuring processing of the Workman’s Compensation cases and file activities;
- Managing employee interactions on Incidents, fines, loans. {confidential activity / processing].
- Reviewing employee files from training and ensuring documentation is correct and completed correctly;
- Ensuring all HR admin on employee files is up to date and correct;
- Managing induction program and diary entries for employees in probation and induction;
- Managing employee performance management process notifications and set downs in managers diary;
- Sourcing, screening and handling of administration within the recruitment of employees – including controlling the references, credit and criminal checks;
- Managing the Health and Safety program inline with the OHS Act;
- Key Accountabilities;

Key Accountabilities;
- Assist with the preparation and scheduling of training interventions.
- Manage driver training programs (classroom and on-road training) for new and existing professional drivers.
- Conduct relevant assessments on professional drivers which include: classroom assessment, bench mark assessments against company requirements/policies (Short routes and long distance)
- Develop and prepare contract specific appendices (including Safe working Procedures and Planned job Observations).
- Report on all training interventions and submit documentation (incl. attendance registers, and driver assessment documentation) on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that vehicle are utilized optimally and to address fuel consumption queries, driving techniques and other related queries.
- Must have knowledge in managing Fuel Consumption and to increase efficiency of the truck’s consumption.

Package offered:
- Attractive Basic Salary – R10000 to R15000 per month;
- Pension and Medical;

Will report into the Human Resources manager & Driver Manager.
