Job Description

Identifying and assessing level of issues based on risk exposures in area of responsibility by keeping in mind of the exposure to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, process etc.
Considering the level of risk by applying mitigation and implementing control measurements for residual risk.
Managing SHERQC compliance within Process through efficient use of the Toolbox
Utilizing Information Management System by initiating, investigating and reporting of SHERQC status
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Implementing HR Policies, Procedures, Standards, Protocols, Codes of Practices, etc.
Complying with the relevant HR Legislations (Labour Relations Act, EE Act, Skills Development Act)
Implementing recruitment, selection and assessment obligation
Overseeing recruitment and selection process
Compiling letter of appointment / regret letters
Compiling employment contracts
Compiling interviews when required
Measuring recruitment capabilities
Providing performance management process by supporting organisational objectives
Implementing performance management system for employees
Implementing talent management process and talent pools
Implementing and maintaining onboarding / orientation process
Administering data, systems, payments and providing advice related to company benefits
Complying with the Legislation (Labour Relations, EE Act, Skills Development Act)
Providing information and by providing advice regarding legislation that might implace employee concerns.
Liaising and administering process between the company and service providers
Handling and resolving of al queries
Submitting and maintaining records of employees payroll
Ensuring that payroll process is accurately followed and deadlines are met
Reconciling billing reports for accuracy of information submitted and report any discrepancies back to service providers
Collating and processing employees input onto the SAP System
Updating monthly payroll inputs onto spreadsheet and maintaining for audit purposes
Running simulation payroll, check data integrity of payslips for corrections and approval thereof.
Compiling monthly vendor reports and send to service providers
Handling payroll and benefits concerts to resolve issues
Implementing of substantive agreements
Monitoring and reporting statutory leave compliance
Complying to all statutory requirements pertaining to payroll
Compiling salary surveys and recommendations
Preparing and conducting of exit interviews
Ensuring completion of all necessary documentation of new employees and on termination of employees’ service.
Compiling of HR reports and monthly Corporate HR statistics
Compiling of monthly newsletters
Initiating and implementing of culture building events
Acting as Custodian of Communication drive in terms of any Organizational chanie
Aligning communications to corporate policies
Ensuring that organizational values are met

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Degree or National Diploma
At least 4 years working experience in a Human Resource role in the heavy industry sector
Expertise knowledge of HR Legislation (Labour Relations, EE Act, Skills Development Act etc.)
Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office computer packages preferable
