ICT Business Partner (International)

Applications are invited for the above mentioned position in the Information & Communications Technology Department based in Stellenbosch. This position will report to the ICT Relationship Manager with an initial focus on Africa.

Purpose of the position:
The ICT Business Partner (International) has the overall responsibility to serve as the ICT interface with International for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management for the delivery of services by ICT.

This position will:
  • Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business function requests, projects and initiatives.
  • Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business functions.
  • Partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance).
This position will also act as the liaison between the International/Africa functions and ICT to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of communication. The ICTBP will be an advocate for Business within ICT and for ICT within Business.
Initial focus will be Africa and the ICT Business Partner will be a member on the African Bridging team.

Key performance areas will include, but are not limited to:
  • Detailed understanding of business function strategies and processes to provide new capabilities that will address transformative/optimization requirements;
  • Assist ICT Enterprise Architect to design, develop and maintain a conceptual architectural view for International to ensure alignment to business strategies and plans;
  • Provide insight to International function on ICT trends and capabilities;
  • Responsible for pre-project business solution design and business case development and high level Business Process design;
  • Participate in project prioritization forums;
  • Communicate ICT project progress to business function;

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification;
  • At least 5 year Business Analysis experience;
  • Previous experience in Africa will be advantageous;
  • FMCG experience will be advantageous;
  • A solid ICT background with technical acumen;
  • Ability to build relationships with business stakeholders at varying levels of seniority;
  • Proven people management, leadership and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills at all levels;
  • Excellent facilitation skills;
  • Proven thinking skills;
  • Proven Change Management skills.
