Position Overview:

Seidor Network (incorporating Netology and Bluekey Network Solutions) are looking for an experience Network Engineer to join our growing team.
This role is specifically to be on-site based at one of our clients in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.
The successful candidate will assist customers with technical IT support queries.

Requirements:

- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or equivalent required
- Must have at least 3-5 years industry-relevant experience
- Must have Valid Drivers' License and Own Reliable Vehicle (will be reimbursed for business travel)
- Willing to Travel to Customer Sites on daily basis
- Must be available for Standby if necessary

Essential Technical Knowledge:
- Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating System
- Microsoft Windows Server Operating System
- Microsoft Active Director
- Solid understanding of networking, including routing, switching and firewalls
- Microsoft Office 365

Advantageous Knowledge:
- Mimecast
- Dell Server Hardware
- Hyper-V

Responsibilities:

- Network connectivity issues (e.g. user not able to access the network share files)
- Internet connectivity issues (e.g. logging calls with ISP)
- Printer issues (e.g. printer not printing)
- Installation of 3rd party software (e.g. Adobe, pdf writer, java, etc.)
- Antivirus troubleshooting (e.g. AV blocking of software)
- Email issues (e.g. user not able to send or receive emails)
- Workstations backups and reformat (windows and software installation)
- Troubleshoot Office 365 issues (e.g. creation of users, setup forwards, aliases, etc.)
- DHCP & DNS issues (e.g. creation of exclusions, issues with DHCP leases)
- Experience with setup and management of Hyper-V
- Management of server and desktop backups (e.g. Symantec, Free File Sync, Windows backups, etc.)
- Server maintenance (e.g. troubleshooting of event logs)
- Able to work as a team & provide customer service
- Ability to prioritize, escalate and ask for assistance when needed in a timely maner
- Must be open to learning new technologies
