Job description
The person will be responsible for all legal functions within the company group
Solid knowledge of the Companies Act and Pension Fund Act
Identify opportunities to develop new processes and practices to strengthen the quality and consistency of legal and compliance opinions.
Coordinate with legal service providers. Manage counsel.
Identify and manage compliance and legal risk.
The role will be based in Cape Town, South Africa

Ideal Candidate
An admitted attorney who ideally has 3 – 6 years corporate / commercial experience
• Corporate/Commercial Experience Essential
• Compliance Experience Essential
• Excellent drafting skills and negotiation skills
• Excellent research skills
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Able to work within a team and independently
• Independent judgment
• LLM would be advantageous
