Sovereign Foods, a national supplier of top quality poultry products to markets via various brands is seeking to employ an In-process Quality Controller at the Feedmill in the Agriculture division.
The successful incumbent will be required to test and analyze raw materials and finished feed in-process to standard acceptance specifications using standard methods and testing equipment; to monitor and record in-process parameters and to record results and immediately report non-conformances. This position holds the TASK Grade T04 and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor.

The successful incumbent should be in the possession of a matric certificate or equivalent with good computer literacy skills and at least one year’s experience working in a laboratory environment with analyzing equipment, preferably in feed milling or food processing. A recognised quality control/assurance qualification would be an advantage.

Results Required
• Routine Inspection and Testing of Samples as per QC Schedules
• Immediate reporting of non-conformance and generate and issue non-conformance forms
• Compiling of reports based on the data captured and recorded
• Ensuring in-process quality equipment is clean and in working order
• Routinely clean and disinfect plant equipment and take samples as per BRC schedule
