Duties
- Responsible for analyzing and recommending improvements, upgrades and new technologies
- Responsible for the operations, Information technology infrastructure and systems.
- Performance and Capacity Planning

- His/her team implements processes to monitor applications and track, investigate and resolve problems or operational changes
- Maintains the operational integrity of the technologies and services
- Maintaining the hardware and software functioning optimally
- Responsible for ensuring all IT Service Delivery partners (Internal and External) provide services aligned to defined SLA and OLA’s, ensuring a world class customer service experience
- Work with other teams to translate the organization’s core strategy into specific infrastructure roadmaps and deliverables
- Measure the effectiveness of the delivery model, and track progress against plan and operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Concisely and effectively communicate progress, status and issues
- Manage, support activities for production systems
- Responsibilities include resource management, high availability, security management, backup and recovery, upgrade, and monitoring
- Operational support for project work and release into the corporate environment
- Oversee troubleshooting of issues and provide timely resolutions to business customers for supported platforms
- Work with cross-functional team management to define operation project requirements, solutions and schedules

Qualifications and experience- Tertiary qualification in computer science
- ITIL Knowledge
- Proven experience with cloud based / hosted service provision
- Managing Microsoft core technologies (cloud based and in-house)
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare)
- Vendor Management and outsourcing experience
- Implementing SLA’s and OLA’s
- SDLC, ITIL
