Infrastructure Development Manager

Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects
A key player in the property development industry is on a search for a Development Manager (Infrastructure) to be a part of their city planning team responsible for the building of a city including town planning , infrastructure and sustainability.

Scope of the role:
Spatial planning and forecast budgets of bulk municipal infrastructure services
Planning and implementation of all infrastructure projects
Project procurement and management of necessary professional teams and contractors
Obtain and manage government and regulation approvals and requirements.
Compiling maintenance plans on completed projects.

Key deliverables:
Planning of infrastructure to meet future potential bulk in terms of roads, power, water, sewer, walkways, public transport, access to IT and telecommunication network
Design specification to ensure long term sustainability (efficient designs, low maintenance and good systems)
Optimise the phasing of the infrastructure to ensure delivery in the most practical and economical way
Optimise and value engineer services and infrastructure to keep land cost below market
Responsible for the
- sourcing of technical teams and contractors for all infrastructure projects
- designs
- all approvals from council where applicable (way leaves etc)
- project and cost management

- the long term planning of sufficient services to the city
- the servicing of stands for developments and
- the building of an integrated, efficient, customer orientated city, providing services to all the stakeholders.

NQF 8
Relevant B.Sc. or B.Eng. degree or a relevant technical qualification.
