To lead and manage the installation projects and teams on various client sites
Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model, IPv4, NAT and related technology
Knowledge of Asterisk IP-PBX systems and GUI front-ends like Free PBX
Experience with Mikrotik routers and networking devices, routing and switching
VPN setup and support, specifically PPTP, and L2TP VPN technologies
service provisioning process
analyse and troubleshoot last-mile connectivity, such as ADSL, LTE, Fibre, FTTH, Diginet
Implementation of VoIP systems
Understanding IP Addressing, subnetting
Office Suite
Switching, VLANs, VLAN Trunking(advantageous)
Hard Skills Required
Crimping RJ45 and RJ11, Cabling and racking, Hardware Experience, LCRs, Media Gateways, Managed Switches(advantageous), Mikrotik, Servers and PCs, IP phones, Softphones, Class 4 and 5 Switches (advantageous), IP PABXs, Protocol/Standards Knowledge, SIP (comprehensive knowledge) (advantageous), PPPoE and ADSL, SDSL, Lines: PPP, HDLC, ISDN PRI and BRI, Analogue .11q, 802.11 a/b/g/n, 802.11af, Optical Fibre based WANs/LANs, VPN, LT2P, PPTP, SSH, NAT, DHCP, DNS, ARP, Vibe

Responsibilities:
Working with operations team and support administrators
technical surveys at clients' sites
full statutory checks and tests
accurate capture and input of customer information
Design bespoke telecoms solutions for customers
Implement solutions from planning to configuration to deployment
Customer installations
Deal with customers regarding installations, maintenance, faults
Provide support for faults and customer troubleshooting (possibly after hours)
Travel to customers within South Africa to carry out installs and maintenance
Weekend projects
