Description: A company selling analytical laboratory equipment requires an Instrumentation Aftermarket Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and sales activities of aftermarket and consumable products including accessories and support products in the whole of the company’s sales territory. This includes Southern Africa and most the sub -Sahara countries up to the equator. The Sales Manager will take responsibility, together with the management team for quotas, sales strategies, customer satisfaction, and profitability from consumables sales and other aftermarket activities in the territory. The Sales Manager will also manage the Sales Representatives and internal sales personnel assigned to the territories.

Key Requirements: A tertiary technical qualification in a natural sciences discipline is required. At least 5 years’ experience in analytical instrumentation or instrument consumable sales. Knowledge on the South African Chromatography and Spectroscopy market will be an advantage. Knowledge and experience in working in Export Territories north of South Africa and East Africa is a recommendation. Computer literate. Valid driver’s licence and prepared to travel in Southern and East Africa.

Additional Requirements: Assertiveness, persuasiveness and excellent communication skills. Proven sales ability in the sales of analytical instruments and/or consumables. Previous sales managerial experience an advantage. A willingness to travel regularly in the assigned territories regularly to manage the territory efficiently is essential.

Remuneration: Salary is negotiable but will be competitive depending on expertise, qualifications and experience.
