A leading national telecoms company has a vacancy for an experienced Integration Architect responsible for defining and executing on the integration of the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy.

Responsible for partnering with key roles players (e.g. project managers, business analysts, enterprise architects, business clients, solution providers, etc.) to create solutions that are aligned to architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits). Provide end-to-end solution design and consulting during the detailed design, build, testing and deployment phases, and re-engage to perform benefits realisation.

An in-depth knowledge of open source technologies is required. As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
• Conceptualise ideas into solutions
• Drive end-to-end solutions designs according to best practice
• Responsible for assessing and defining solutions that align with the IT strategy and Architecture principles, policies and standards
• Define best practices, standards and re-usable architecture solution patterns
• Develop design patterns based on adopted architecture technologies and best practice
• Drive the use of SOA Enterprise approach design patterns and models within the company
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology objectives, assess solution options and devise
architectural solutions that achieve both strategic business goals and meet operational requirements
• Provide detailed architectural solution design to delivery teams by combining industry best practice, product knowledge, and business
acumen
• Exercise judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine
and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations

Minimum Qualifications, Certification/Professional Registration:
• Relevant Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Diploma (min. NQF Level 6)
• TOGAF
• ITIL

Skills and Competencies:
• 5 years of critical and extensive technical knowledge in the Telecommunications, ICT and business areas, including knowledge of Enterprise
Architecture and IT domain management.
• Experience in IT Transformation projects
• Experience in Business Support Solution (BSS) such as CRM, Order Management & Billing will be advantageous
• End-to-end strategic Vendor and Contracts Management
• Business strategy translation into Architecture solutions
• Strategic OSS & BSS architectural assessments and OSS & BSS strategies
• In-depth knowledge in Agile Framework such as Scrum and Kanban
• Demonstrable leadership and management abilities - strategic & entrepreneurial thinking, strong problem solving & analytical skills,
decisiveness & challenging ideas.
• Ability to effectively handle conflict, give and take constructive criticism and also have strong persuasive impact on others
