Job Description:
Internal Auditor

Large well established company has a position for an experienced Internal Auditor.
This position is a new role within the company.'

Perform and control a full audit cycle for all departments within the Company
Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans
Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating reports, data, flowcharts etc.
In conjunction with the Risk Officer, identify and evaluate risks within the existing Risk Management structure
Maintain open communication with management
Document processes
Conduct follow up audits where necessary
Inspecting the financial reporting and productivity strategies that are currently in place
Inquiring on the effectiveness of the current internal controls
Analyzing business policies, processes and procedures
Defining audit objectives
Deciding the nature and extent of the audit procedure
Stating final opinions and conclusions
Reporting and distributing audit findings to Management
Key contributor to achieving strategy
Objective provider of assurance on operational controls
Implement and maintain the Combined Assurance Module
Advisory service to Management and the board
Information reporting within the Reporting Framework
Assessment of Company policies and procedures
Assess the mitigating controls implemented by Management and provide assurance on effectiveness of mitigating controls
Develop and execute the annual Internal Audit Plan
Assessment of Audit Program in order to provide assurance to the Board and Audit Committee
Follow up and ensure that action plans have been implemented
The Successful candidate should possess a Matric with an Accounting or Finance related qualification preferred, and a minimum of 5 year’s relevant experience:
Internal Auditor
Relevant exposure to forensic and system reviews
CIA and IIASA registered
Advanced computer skills on MS Office
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
Knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Time management skills
Good knowledge of ISO19011 will be preferred
Ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation.
