A large leading manufacturer have a great job opportunity for an International Credit Manager to join their team in Cape Town. If you have at least 10 years’ experience in Credit management and at least 3 years in a senior role, this job could be perfect for you!
Your key job responsibilities as the Internal Credit Manager in Cape Town will include:
- Functionally lead credit management in the subsidiaries via local subsidiary Head of Finance and or Credit Manager
- Timely reporting of the monthly operational developments in subsidiaries and monthly reporting on the minutes of the subsidiary credit review meetings
- Routine visits for query resolution with both internal and external customers
- Ensure timely and effective collection of debts from customers to ensure reduction of DSO, overdue and minimal provisions
- Credit vetting of new and existing customers periodically to assess and provide acceptable credit limits and terms
- Implement the dunning process as per company credit and collection policy
- Preparation of KPI reports, targets, and monthly reports
- Provide information to support detailed cash flow forecasting
- Manage relations with debts recovery agencies and credit rating agencies
- Propose write-offs of irrecoverable receivables in line with company credit policy
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
- Travel to subsidiaries within the region and to HQ on a regular basis
Requirements for this Internal Credit Manager job in Cape Town:
- Financial graduate
- At least 10 years’ experience in Credit management and at least 3 years in a senior role
- Experience within the formwork/scaffolding or construction industry is essential
- Experience in developing, managing, and leading teams
- Knowledge of the legal framework in the region MEA and the ability to deal with legal claims. (Contracts and collections)
- Knowledge and experience of risk mitigation methods (PDC, LC, BG, SC, etc.)
- Good knowledge of SAP and proficient in MS Office
- Proficient in English – Read, write, and speak
- Available to travel to the UAE and Africa
- Understands the culture in the UAE
