International Agricultural concern operating in the grain industry, based in Stellenbosch, currently has a position available for an Inventory Controller

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years’ experience in inventory management in the Grain industry of all commodities(not only 1 commodity ) White Maize/Yellow Maize/SUNS/SOYA/Wheat
• Experience of silo certs and physical movement of stock origin to destination
• Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel level 3 and advanced )
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Fluent in both Afrikaans & English
• Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
• Problem solving and strong personality
• Able to work under pressure irregular or extended hours, including weekends
• Safex cert would be an advantage

KPA’S
• Able to interact with South African Co-Ops / Banks/Traders & all other Departments
• Reconciliation of all stock White Maize/Yellow Maize/SUNS/SOYA/Wheat daily
• Understand difference between day and year storage
• Recon of silo certs, all commodities
• Transfers of silo certs
• Cancellation of certs transfer to folio stock
• Recon of all folio stock ,all commodities
• Folio stock to cert
• Maintain accurate stock sheet daily send to trade and various departments
• Maintain accurate Physical Inventory Report send to group weekly
• Follow up on Stock purchased/_Spot Purchase & all daily movements
• Knowledge of Assignments/Deliveries CJS all commodities
• Request Safex Certs from Co ops and send to various brokers (CJS/BVG/RMMD).
• Knowledge of Repo stock sales and purchases
• Compare information received from stakeholders vs inventory system daily
• General task allocated by manager or desk leader
• Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear in the system are accurate
• Maintain and update inventory records
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report any discrepancies
• Maintaining optimal stock levels to ensure timely availability of stock
• Managing excess and ageing stock.
• Using electronic inventory tracking to reconcile inventory with 3rd party stakeholders .
• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to report and analyze data daily weekly monthly.
• Presenting reports and analyses to senior management.
• Tracking & updating stocks both on sheets & computerized system
