My client is a Medical Device company who seeks to employ an Inventory Manager - Medical Devices.

• Responsible for daily monitoring and management of inventory on a national basis in company warehouses and customer consignment bins.
• Analyse stock on hand, slow moving stock, expiry dates of all stock and generate and distribute reports to relevant managers.
• Assign short expiring inventory to sales orders to avoid expiring stock. Manage and co-ordinate required logistics from identification & initiation to final invoicing and delivery to customer.
• Ensure that all inventory movements are recorded, documented and authorised by the customer.
• Monitor and manage the submission, scanning & filing of delivery notes by reps on a national basis and ensure that numerical sequences are complete.
• Monthly reconciliation and managing of all consignment counts.
• Maintain required records of consignment bins, counts, reconciliations, transfers, deliveries and invoices per consignment bin, SBU & rep.
• Manage consignment consultants and support them where needed.
• Sort out variances on the consignment counts to ensure all stock is accounted for.
• Facilitate submission of supporting documentation on consignment usage to obtain customer orders and issue Tax Invoices.
• Assist with identifying slow moving stock and facilitate and manage rotation of stock in territories to avoid stock write offs.
• Generate and distribute stock movement reports and send to managers weekly.
• Work with customer services consultants and warehouse staff to manage all stock related movements.
• Responsible for ensuring all consignment agreements are signed and all annexures are kept up to date for all customers who carry consignment stock.
• Monitor and set ideal consignment levels for consignment bins based on historic usage.
• Analysis of customer usage patterns of consignment stock

Experience required
• Experience in stock management and procedures in a medical device company will be an advantage.
• Experience in Syspro advantageous

Qualifications

Grade 12 certificate as a minimum requirement. A B Com or Financial qualification will be an advantage.
