Investment Analyst/Western Cape (Southern Suburbs)
Work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex investment projects.
Serve as a key resource for the consultant in charge of each engagement by performing many intricate aspects of the client work. As experience / expertise develops, the candidate could expect to assume greater client responsibilities over time
Role responsibilities
• Contributing to the team’s activities across a portfolio of investment and actuarial consulting clients involving all aspects of advice and performance monitoring as required
• Production of monthly or quarterly investment reports for pension funds and other investment related work and calculations
• Liaise effectively with colleagues and clients regarding data collection, analyses, and project execution
• Complete work in accordance with Government regulations surrounding pension plans
• Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities / maintain steady progress through exams
• Prepare the first draft of deliverables for review
• Assisting other consultant with any relevant investment and retirement consulting issues
Requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
• Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment
• Ability to juggle several different projects concurrently and deliver on all of them
• Experience with MS Excel and MS Word
• High energy individual looking for a dynamic growth-oriented environment
• Bachelors degree - financial / mathematical / statistical / actuarial specialisation
• CFA or in the process will be an advantage
