Senior Investment Pricing Specialist: Pretoria

ACR-408

A dynamic, in-house retirement fund administration product operating in a daily unit pricing environment and includes pensioner payroll functionality. The system and service structure can accommodate small, medium or large funds.

Key Responsibilities

*Oversee the daily capturing of member trade reports on the system (interlink database)
*Ensure that team members imported cash flows on allocated portfolios on the system are valid. *Investigate any discrepancies
*Ensure that market values received from Asset Managers are imported daily
*Assist the Technical Review team to ensure that the daily market values are correct. This is done by following up with Asset Managers regarding inconsistencies
*Classify instruments to comply with Regulation 28 of the Pension Funds Act
*Understand and keep abreast of all Service Level Agreements to be able to provide specific instructions to Clients
*Assist team members, fund accountants and auditors with queries
*Perform reasonability testing on daily prices and market values
*Assist with the release of daily prices
*Training of new staff (Investment Pricing Specialist)

Minimum Requirements

*B.Com degree (Accounting/Investment Management) or any relevant Tertiary qualification
Competencies

Technical Competencies

*Three to Five years experience in an Investment administration environment
*Experience in the Interlink system will be advantageous
*Knowledge of Retirement Fund Legislation
*Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
*In depth knowledge of investment securities
*Experience in Unit Trust pricing/investment pricing will be advantageous
