IS/IT MANAGER

Package: Salary offer: 36 000 Gross monthly remuneration

Represents IS/IT at Country level and manages all its resources. Ensures that business needs are met with the implementation of systems and applications and ensures that these are carried out in compliance with the governance and planning principles established by Group IT. Facilitates the deployment of global solutions and breaks down Group IT strategic orientations into local progress plans.

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for Southern African countries on all IS/IT operations to comply with the availability, quality, security and cost levels that apply to Company standards.
• Manage and coordinate the IS/IT service providers (local, zone and global) to achieve the required results
• Manage continuous service contracts with 3rd Party suppliers
• Renegotiate contracts managed by 3rd Party suppliers
• Manage and coordinate the IS/IT onsite support team to achieve the required results
• Manage the current IS/IT budget, and prepare the next year’s budget.
• Ensure the execution / deployment of IS/IT project plans within the agreed budget and timeline
• Project manage the deployment of projects out of the zone and global scope
• Project manage the IS/IT Disaster Recovery testing once a year to meet business expectations
• Prepare and compile monthly reports.
• Prepare and actively participate in regular meetings with Zone IT.
• Source and implement systems to meet the businesses digitisation needs.
• Proactive approach in finding ways to move to digital solutions and ease of doing business

PREREQUISITES
• Matric with an IT Degree or equivalent NQF qualification
• Minimum 5 years functional IT experience and sound knowledge of project management principles and processes
• Must have an ITIL intermediate certification; an in depth exposure to ITIL-based IT operations processes and procedures
• Must have sound working knowledge of Microsoft platforms, JDE, Cognos, Outlook, Oracle
• Analysing and Interpretation of information
• Ability to manage and resolve critical IT incidents quickly and cost effectively
• Must have strong people management and technical management skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
• Ability to initiate and manage change initiatives
