SOUTH AFRICAN BEE Software Developer required by this JSE-listed IT form to design, create, test and documentat new and amended programs, predominantly in an ERP environment, from supplied specifications

• Program designs from logical specifications
• Development, maintenance and enhancement of programs
• Documentation of programs
• Configuration designs from logical specifications
• Configure applications in accordance with Requirements Specifications
• Hand-over of completed application/system
• Produce configuration designs from functional designs for applications
• Use design methodologies that are in line with the standards and procedures of the organization
• Design and document new software features and functionality
• Maintain existing suite of software products
• Extend existing product suite with new features and functionality
• Test product releases as part of the approved Quality Assurance processes
• Investigatie and proof new technologies for inclusion in product suite
• Act as Project Lead from time to time

REQUIRED:
• Diploma in Information Systems/ BCom (Information Systems)/BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems)
• Professional Qualification Level 5
• MCSD
• 2 - 3 years' experience as an Application Developer/Programmer (CM)
• Must have 2-3 years' experience using C#
• Must have 2-3 years' experience using WPF
• Must have 2-3 years' experience using ASP.NET
• Broad understanding of IS concepts and practice, particularly those used within own organization
• Ability to follow and abide by all information, security and ISO policies and practices
• Ability to work from test scripts as well as the ability to complete independent, non script-based testing
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement customer-focused processes and procedures
• Experience with software development and build processes
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Has a good understanding of IS concepts and practice, particularly those used within own organization concerning the systems
development life cycle
• Knowledge of databases
• Shows evidence of analytical ability
• Understanding of secure coding best-practices
• Work under tight time constraints
• Work well with others as part of a team
