Our client is a leading, internationally recognised fishing and food business with operations in South Africa and Internationally, servicing retail and foodservice customers in 22 countries are seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to join their team in Woodstock.

Purpose:
To manage and maintain multiple outsource contracts, ensuring efficiency, sustainability and service delivery within budgets, as well as management of infrastructure projects, contracts and SLA negotiations.

Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and establish SLA / contract details with ICT partners and management thereof
• Ensure that the Service Levels are maintained in accordance with SLA commitments
• Manage On-Site and Off-Site Sub-Contractors in diverse environments
• Define SLA Financial reporting metrics; Ensure project methodology standards are maintained
• Negotiate, plan and manage ICT projects and other related activities;
• Compile and document a strategic plan/roadmap for companies ICT Services

Main Activities include:
• Day to day management of the ICT outsource partner.
• Report to the HOD: IT on all critical infrastructure issues and changes.
• Communicate with Business regarding Change Control windows and potential down time.
• Recommend environment changes to be in line with Best Practice.
• Manage ICT costs in line with budgetary constraints.
• Ensure SOP’s are in place and in line with King IV principles; Ensure environmental documentation and flow diagrams are up to date.
• Project manage new infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Ensure SQL Databases are optimised and Backed-Up; Implement Cyber Security strategy and ensure implementation.

Requirements:
• Relevant Tertiary qualification
• 3 to 5 years’ management experience
• Project Management experience
• 7-8 years’ relevant IT experience

Competencies and Skills
• Knowledge of Cyber Security Strategies and Tools; Knowledge of MPLS and related Technologies
• SQL Database Administration • Recognize the roles of Business Analysis, System Analysis, Development, (Human) Change Management and (System) Change Management
• Good verbal and communication skills, including active listening skills
• Well organised with understanding of IT infrastructure and systems
• Profit and results orientation with a clear understanding of financial management and skilled in determining and managing budgets.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; Strong analytical skills
• Solid understanding of planning / project principles, tools and techniques
